Saying no to the future
రాను, వెళ్ళను, చేయను — నిషేధం ఒకే పదం.
Non-past negation is a single word, and తెలియదు is the negative of తెలుసు.

నిషేధం ఒకే పదం. 'లేదు' వేరే పదంగా రాదు. చేయు — చేయను, చేయవు, చేయడు, చేయదు, చేయము, చేయరు.
To say no to the tenseless form you do not add a separate word for 'not'. The negative is built into the verb itself, and the personal ending sits on the end as usual: నేను చేయను, నువ్వు చేయవు, అతను చేయడు, ఆమె చేయదు, మేము చేయము, మీరు and వాళ్ళు చేయరు, అవి చేయవు. One word does the whole job.
ఈ రూపానికి రెండు అర్థాలు — నేను రేపు రాను. నేను సినిమాలు చూడను. చేస్తాను కు నిషేధం చేయను.
This negative answers the tenseless form, so it inherits both of its meanings: నేను రేపు రాను is 'I will not come tomorrow', while నేను సినిమాలు చూడను is 'I do not watch films (ever)'. It never talks about the past — for that you will need a different form in the next lesson. Watch the two stems: వచ్చు gives రాను, రావు, రాడు, రాదు, రాము, రారు; వెళ్ళు gives వెళ్ళను, వెళ్ళవు, వెళ్ళడు, వెళ్ళదు, వెళ్ళరు.
తెలుసు — నాకు తెలుసు. దీని నిషేధం తెలియదు — నాకు తెలియదు. తెలిసిన మనిషి ఇక్కడ '-కి' రూపంలో ఉంటాడు — నాకు, మీకు, రవికి.
తెలుసు works like ఇష్టం from level 3: the person who knows stands in the -కి form, not as the subject. నాకు తెలుసు (I know), మీకు తెలుసా? (do you know?), రవికి తెలుసు (Ravi knows). Its negative is the ready-made word తెలియదు, and it too never changes for person — నాకు తెలియదు, మీకు తెలియదు, వాళ్ళకు తెలియదు.
