వివరణ · Explanation

-నుండి — ఎక్కడ మొదలు. ఇంటి నుండి, ఊరి నుండి, హైదరాబాద్ నుండి, ఉదయం నుండి. వాడుకలో 'నుంచి'.

నుండి marks the starting point, of a road or of a stretch of time alike: ఇంటి నుండి వస్తున్నాను (I am coming from home), ఉదయం నుండి చదువుతున్నాను (I have been studying since morning). It is written as a separate word after the noun, and ఇల్లు takes its possessive shape first — ఇంటి నుండి. In everyday speech you will hear నుంచి just as often; the two are the same word.

-వరకు — ఎక్కడ చివర. ఇంటి నుండి బడి వరకు. ఉదయం నుండి రాత్రి వరకు.

వరకు marks the far end, and the two travel together: ఇంటి నుండి బడి వరకు, ఉదయం నుండి రాత్రి వరకు. Keep వరకు apart from the -కి of the earlier lesson. బడికి వెళుతున్నాను says school is where you are headed; బడి వరకు వెళుతున్నాను says school is as far as you go, and nothing about staying.

రైలులో, బస్సులో — ఇక్కడ -లో. మనుషులతో -తో.

For the vehicle you travel in, Telugu uses -లో and not -తో: రైలులో వస్తున్నాను, బస్సులో వెళుతున్నాను. Reserve -తో for the person who travels with you — నేను అమ్మతో బస్సులో వెళుతున్నాను carries both at once. The question word is ఎక్కడ నుండి? for the source.
