వివరణ · Explanation

ఇది -కి, -కు ప్రత్యయమే. నేను → నాకు, నువ్వు → నీకు, మీరు → మీకు, అతను → అతనికి, ఆమె → ఆమెకు, రవి → రవికి, అమ్మ → అమ్మకు.

This is the same -కి / -కు you met with places, now on a person. Learn the pronoun forms as a set: నేను gives నాకు, నువ్వు gives నీకు, మీరు gives మీకు, and ordinary nouns simply add the marker — రవికి, అమ్మకు, పిల్లలకు. The pronouns are the only ones that reshape the stem before the ending, so learn those three as fixed words and let every other noun take -కి or -కు by the rule you already know.

'నాకు ఇష్టం' — ఇక్కడ 'నేను' రాదు. ఇష్టం, ఆకలి, జ్వరం — అన్నీ ఇలాగే.

Telugu does not say 'I like'. It says 'to me it is liked': నాకు తెలుగు ఇష్టం. The person who feels something stands in the dative, never as the subject. The same shape covers hunger and illness — నాకు ఆకలిగా ఉంది, నాకు జ్వరం ఉంది. To say no, add లేదు: నాకు కూర ఇష్టం లేదు.

'నాకు పుస్తకం ఉంది.' — తెలుగులో 'have' అనే పదం లేదు.

There is no verb 'to have' in Telugu either. Possession uses the very same pattern: నాకు పుస్తకం ఉంది is 'I have a book', and నాకు అక్క ఉంది is 'I have an elder sister'. Watch the agreement of ఉంది — a thing or one woman takes ఉంది, a man ఉన్నాడు, several people ఉన్నారు, several things ఉన్నాయి.

ఇప్పుడు మీరే బిగ్గరగా చెప్పండి — 'నాకు … ఇష్టం.' 'నాకు … ఇష్టం లేదు.' తరువాత ప్రశ్న — 'మీకు … ఇష్టమా?'

Say three things you like out loud — నాకు … ఇష్టం — and two you do not: నాకు … ఇష్టం లేదు. Use food words you already have (అన్నం, పాలు, టీ, కూర, పండు). Then turn it into a question for someone else, మీకు … ఇష్టమా?, and answer it yourself with అవును or లేదు. Finish by saying how you feel today: నాకు ఆకలిగా ఉంది or నాకు జ్వరం ఉంది.
