చూడు — నేను చూస్తున్నాను, మీరు చూస్తున్నారు, అతను చూస్తున్నాడు. విను — నేను వింటున్నాను, మీరు వింటున్నారు, అతను వింటున్నాడు.
చూడు covers both 'see' and 'watch', and విను covers both 'hear' and 'listen' — Telugu does not split them the way English does. The present forms are చూస్తున్నాను and వింటున్నాను; the second one contracts the stem, so learn వింటున్నాను as a whole and the other persons fall into line.
నేను సినిమా చూస్తున్నాను. అతను పాఠం వింటున్నాడు.
Look at where the thing seen or heard stands: సినిమా and పాఠం sit bare, with nothing added to them, directly in front of the verb. English needs 'to' in 'listening to the lesson'; Telugu needs nothing at all. In level 3 you will learn a small marker that a definite object can take, but at this stage the plain noun before the verb is right and natural.
మీరు ఏం చూస్తున్నారు? — ప్రశ్న మాట క్రియ ముందు ఉంటుంది.
ఏం, the short form of ఏమిటి you met with తిను and తాగు, works the same way here: మీరు ఏం చూస్తున్నారు? and మీరు ఏం వింటున్నారు?. The question word simply takes the place where the answer will stand, right before the verb — nothing is moved to the front.

Whatever is in front of you right now, name it and say నేను … చూస్తున్నాను. Then close your eyes, name what you can hear, and say నేను … వింటున్నాను. Finish by asking the question both ways out loud — మీరు ఏం చూస్తున్నారు? మీరు ఏం వింటున్నారు? — and answering yourself each time.
