వివరణ · Explanation
'ఇది' — దగ్గర. 'అది' — దూరం. 'ఇది ఏమిటి?' — 'ఇది ఇల్లు.'
ఇది points at what is near you, అది at what is further off. అది also does the work of English 'it', so అది ఇల్లు can be either 'that is a house' or simply 'it is a house'. As in the first two lessons, no word for 'is' appears anywhere: ఇది ఇల్లు is already a complete sentence.
'ఇక్కడ' — దగ్గర. 'అక్కడ' — దూరం. 'ఇ-' దగ్గర, 'అ-' దూరం — ఇది తెలుగు జత.
The same ఇ / అ contrast runs right through the language: ఇది–అది for things, ఇక్కడ–అక్కడ for places. Learn each pair as a pair and never one word at a time. The moment you hear the ఇ you know something near is coming; the moment you hear the అ you know it is further away.
'ఇది నా ఇల్లు.' — మూడు భాగాలు. 'నా' మొదట, 'ఇల్లు' తరువాత.
A possessive always stands in front of its noun: నా ఇల్లు (my house), మీ పేరు (your name). Telugu never puts it after. So ఇది నా ఇల్లు has three parts in a fixed order — the pointer, then the possessive, then the noun — and you can swap any of the three for a new word and still have a good sentence.

అభ్యాసం · Practice
మీరే చెప్పండి · Use it
ఇప్పుడు మీరే చెప్పండి — 'ఇది నా ఇల్లు. అది మీ ఇల్లు. ఇక్కడ నేను, అక్కడ మీరు.'
Say the four lines aloud, pointing as you go: ఇది … for whatever is within reach, అది … for whatever is across the room, then ఇక్కడ and అక్కడ for the two places themselves. ఇల్లు is still your only noun and that is fine — the pointing is what you are practising here, and every noun you learn from now on will slot straight into the same frame.
