వాన వస్తోంది. గాలి ఉంది. ఎండ ఉంది. నిన్న వాన వచ్చింది.
English says 'it is raining' with an empty 'it'. Telugu names the rain itself and lets it come: వాన వస్తోంది. వాన, గాలి and ఎండ are all అమహత్తు singular nouns, so the verb is ఉంది in the present and వచ్చింది in the past — నిన్న వాన వచ్చింది, ఈ రోజు ఎండ ఉంది. For tomorrow, the tenseless form: రేపు వాన వస్తుంది.
చలిగా ఉంది. ఎండగా ఉంది. నాకు చలిగా ఉంది.
Some weather has no subject at all. Add -గా to the noun and follow it with ఉంది, and you get a sentence about nobody in particular: చలిగా ఉంది (it is cold), ఎండగా ఉంది (it is sunny). If you want to say who is feeling it, put that person in the dative, exactly as with ఇష్టం and ఆకలి in level 3: నాకు చలిగా ఉంది, మీకు చలిగా ఉందా?
గాలి ఉంది. నిప్పు దగ్గర కూర్చున్నాను. పిల్లలూ, నిప్పు దగ్గరికి రాకండి.
గాలి covers both the wind that blows and the air you breathe; which one is meant comes from the sentence around it. నిప్పు is fire, and it goes with the place words you already know: నిప్పు దగ్గర (by the fire), నిప్పు మీద (on the fire). Note that చలి is a noun — the cold — while చలిగా is what you say about the day.

Then add how it feels to you with the dative — నాకు చలిగా ఉంది — and say the whole set again tomorrow morning.
